Happy Halloween!!!!
From The Wells Family!!!
Today Payton had a “pumpkin patch” at school. Well that is what they called it. But, I titled this “Fall Fun” because I felt like that is what it was. I mean they did get a pumpkin, but they did crafts, food tastings, and games.
Before school
Waiting in line. The little girl behind Payton is her friend Emma Kate. I am friends with her mom. We were the only two moms that came.
Lizzy being good in the stroller!
I had a super cute headband and flower in her hair, but she wouldn’t keep it in!! And I couldn’t get her to look at me and smile, she was amazed by all the kids! :)
The best one, but turned out blurry!! UGH maybe the one the school took will be better!
Picked out her pumpkin!
Decorating her pumpkin!
Making a sand necklace
Such a fun time at school and making good memories!!
Yesterday after school I let Payton paint a pumpkin on a paper plate. I got the idea from Marla’s blog. I didn’t have any orange paint, nor did I have the right kind of “painting” paint. I used finger paint and mixed red and yellow to make orange. I was impressed that Payton told me “if you miz red and yellow it makes orange” I think she got it from the song they sing on Barney. Nonetheless glad she knew that! :)
They sent a note home from school telling us to practice with our child using scissors. I have never let Payton use scissors. So, yesterday was a first for us. She doesn’t quite know how to use them. But, I guess we will continue practicing. And I am going to buy her some new ones. These shown in the picture are mine from elementary school… OLD!!
Anyway, I was letting her cut the eyes and nose out for the pumpkin. She did it, with help from me.
So, not many pictures of the cutting because I had to help her.
Here is the finished pumpkin. Not the best because of the paint we used! But, good enough!
