Payton Walk-A-Thon at School 2014

A couple of Friday’s ago Payton had a school walk-a-thon! It is a fundraiser they do every year. They do fun walk and do fun stuff throughout the day and parents are able to come and hang out with them that day. So, I stayed the whole day with her.

Payton’s First Day of School/Kindergarten 2014

Today was Payton’s first day of school. She had a good day. I was so anxious to pick her up from school. Phil took the day off and we both took her to school. I hardly slept the night before, I was up worrying about my first born. I know I have to put it in Gods hands and trust Him to take care of her.

Phil went and got her donuts for breakfast. I was so emotional before I ever woke her up that I forgot to take pictures of her donuts and her eating her breakfast. Not the end of the world, I know.

We then took some pictures outside before we headed up to drop her off.

They had play-doh on the table when we got to class. Her favorite color is blue, so she was happy that blue play-doh was sitting in front of her :)

We gave her hugs and kisses and told her we would see her after school. I held it together pretty good.

Phil told me how proud of me he was that I did so good.

Well at about noon I just lost it. I am a big baby, but I’m ok with that.

(not to mention I am worried about my granny)

We got to the school at about 2:35 and she gets out at 2:55 the parking lot was crazy crowded. My first thought was… well this will be a long year. But, I am hoping it slows down some because  a lot of the parents aren’t going to be picking their kids up every day.

We had gone by Sonic before picking her up and got her a small Dr. Pepper.

We also had this sitting on the kitchen counter along with a journal (not pictured).

Payton and Paisley truly missed each other today. Paisley was not herself all day. And poor Payton wouldn’t keep her hands off her sister the whole afternoon/evening.  She kept begging me to not put Paisley to bed yet… and that she loved her.

How sweet is this?

And we ate Cici’s for dinner.. It was gross.. but Payton’s choice!

Last night before putting Payton to bed, we said a prayer with Poppa and then read our “Night Before Kindergarten” book

Last Friday we went to meet the teacher. I should do a separate blog post, but I have so much going on I just want to make sure I include it.

Her teacher seems really nice and we can’t wait to get to know her better.

Today overall was a success. I am blessed that she had a great day. I pray that she continues too.
