Today was one of those days where we had fun but, didn’t do much!!
Started out by making some crafts for Payton to do. Not done with them yet, but here is a sneak peak.
I big poster board I made with shapes… Don’t look to closely please!! :)
Then, on the other side is the alphabet….
Next, we headed to lunch…..
Yup we tried Freebirds! It was quite delish! I didn’t take any pictures while we were there! So I took a picture of my cup with we got home.
But, before we came home we made a stop by Lowes. We have a few shingles that fell off during the last big storm we had months ago. (Kind of feels like years since we have had rain)
Payton following her Daddy…
Phil comparing the shingles…

They were really heavy too!!

Payton really likes to help her daddy
She is so strong too!!
I had doubts that Phil could fix the shingles on the roof. He did watch a “how too” video online earlier this morning. But, still… I mean kind of scary getting up there on the roof too!!
I snapped one picture of Phil… and then me and Payton headed to our neighbors pool. I text my neighbor while we were in Lowes and asked him if we could go swim. No one was home. He said sure…..
They have a very nice pool!!
Couldn’t seem to get a picture of the whole thing with my zoom lens, it was too close.
Payton loves it over there. But, she kept wanting to know where Sydney was… (that is the our neighbors little girl).
Next thing you know, Phil came to join us!! He did the roof all by himself and didn’t even take him very long!! I am a very proud wife! And sorry for doubting you!! :)
So Payton and Daddy played catch with her pool toys
After swimming, we headed back to the house.
Tah-Dah…. it is fixed
Payton’s new thing is “Mommy let’s do a craft” Well I can’t tell her no… I would feel sort of bad if I did…. Ha
So I let her play with stickers we got at wal-mart last night. They were stars, circles, and rectangles. She has the CIRCLES down… we will work on the rest! With that said, I am very impressed because you knew what a circle was just from doing our first shape activity last week.
We watched some TV, just relaxed! It was very nice! And I love having Phil home with me!
I made Pioneer Woman's, Chicken Fried Steak. I didn’t make her mashed potatoes. But, I suggest everyone trying them if you never have! I didn’t make them since it makes so much and I really didn’t want to spend extra time cooking!! Basically, I was being lazy! :)
But, here is the plate of what our dinner looked like!!!!
YUMMY!!!!!!!!!!
Homemade Mac n cheese too! And those rolls, they were the kind you let rise for a few hours and oh my goodness… I ate 3 of them!! They were so delish!!!!
And to finish of our day… we went outside for a bit (like 10 minutes, HA) while Daddy did the yard. Payton’s face here…. She is scared…. She doesn’t like the mower or any of those sounds!! She kept saying “Mommy I’m scared…”
Such a great, yet low key family day!! Love these days more than anything!!!!
