A Few Pictures From Vacation

My dad and Kay rented a house for us for  4 nights last week. It was beautiful and it was so nice! We all had a really good time! I didn't take many pictures, but Marla did. I just wanted to post the few I have on my phone.

Paisley's BIRTH-day

Our sweet girl Paisley Gayle arrived on Monday December 30th @ 7:53 a.m. She was 20 1/2 inches long and weighed 8lbs4oz We had a scheduled C-section for Monday morning at 7:30 a.m. I was of course very anxious on Sunday night but I still tried to get to bed and try to sleep because I knew that I wouldn't be getting much sleep in the hospital. I think I ended up going to sleep at around 11 p.m. and I woke up a couple of times to use the bathroom and then the alarm clock went off at 3:30 a.m. I got up showered and even did my hair. Which is something I rarely ever do (doing my hair that is). We loaded up the car and headed out the door at 4:45 a.m. We arrivd at the hostpital at 5:20 and went in and checked in. Went really smooth and they took us back to our small little room and began getting me ready for surgery. Time went by so fast. I thought that it may go by slow and the anticipation would get to me but before I knew it it was 7:20 and they were just waiting for my Dr. to get there. I think by this point they had gotten my epridural and numbess where it was supposed to be. I was shaking so bad. My arms and everything even the parts I couldn't feel. I kept telling them I do not like feeling this way and the shaking was out of my control. And they told me that it was very normal and most women shake from the medicine. But, you know that you do not like not being able to control what your body does. I kept trying to take a deep breath and relax as much as possible and when I did that seemed to help the shaking slow down. But, I was nervous. My Dr. came in to say hello and ask if I was ready to have a baby and I said yes! So, a little more time passed and I was back in the OR at 7:40 and I think they went to get Phil at like 7:50 and she was born at 7:53 a.m. It took no time at all. I only felt a little tugging and pulling and then they told me they were fixing to push from the top of my stomach down to try to help push the baby out and so I felt a little pressure then. But, no pain. And then within seconds (I think) she was out and I heard her sweet cry. They came around and held her up so that we could see her. I couldn't believe it. She was here. My second baby!! She cried quite a bit. With Payton she didn't do that. She pretty muched calmed down after she was wrapped up. But, not Paisley... she let us know she was there by crying for a good bit. While they were sewing me up and getting everything back in place, Phil brought Paisley over so I could see her. We took a few pictures. But, at that point I could not hold her yet because I was still shaking and I was scared that I would drop here so I asked if I could wait until they moved me to the other bed. Once they got me back together and moved me over to the other bed. I was able to hold her for the first time. Such an emotion comes over you and you can't even explain how you feel when you hold your child for the first time. AMAZING feeling. We got back into the small little room and I tried to nurse her. She was having a hard time latching on. We then brought back Payton, Marla, and my mom. Payton told me this.. and I qoute because I never want to forget this and it made me cry.. she said "I am so, so, so, so, so, so happy" And to hear it in her voice just melted my heart and made me SO happy too!! Then Phil's parents came back, then Dad, Kay, and Terry. There are a lot of pictures... and I got one with everyone holding her except for my sister. I guess because she was trying to help me nurse or trying to help Payton hold her or just taking pictures herself I never got a picture of her holding her.

When we left the hospital Paisley weighed 7lb 10oz.

Disney on Ice November 2013

This past Friday my mom took Marla, the girls, and I to Disney on Ice. This time it wasn’t just princesses and it was such a great show! They had scenes from Pinocchio, Mulan, Toy Story, The Incredibles, Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin, and many more than I can’t think of all the names right now. The girls really enjoyed it and so did us adults too!

Grace thought she was going to be scared before the show ever started.. However, Payton ended up being the one that would start shaking when the characters got close. We had floor front row seats so we were so close we could almost touch them. And some did put on their hand and we touched their hand. But, not Payton. She is scared of so many things. I don’t understand.

They had all the princesses there, and Payton told me she loved seeing all of them like that. It was pretty neat, and to a kid I am sure it is really neat!!!
