Yesterday was a good day. We just hung out at the house. Enjoyed our time together. I have always read the PW's blog and I have had her cook book for a long while. I have made a few of her recipes. But, it wasn’t until lately since I have watched her show I have been on this kick in making her stuff!! Phil laughs at me, when I watch her show I say “I feel like I know her”. Which you blog readers probably know what I am talking about. Once you have been following someone’s blog that you “don’t” know, you tend to feel like you learn to know them!
Anyways, so yesterday we made onion strings, slider burgers, and of course a few cheese fries. Oh yes, and homemade ranch dressing.
I sliced my onions… pretty thin, well as thin as I could get them… I need knew knives!!
Poured the Buttermilk all over them, then pressed them down with a fork. I then left them like this for an hour or more, just sitting on the counter.
While those were “soaking” Payton colored
And I made cookies
She then decided to play dress up…
This is the face when she is saying “NOOO MOMMY” she keeps telling me this when I take her picture.. I wonder why?? HAHA
Telling me NO again!!!
Then, it time to get the burgers started!!
Also, I had made bacon for breakfast so we just saved some of that bacon for the burgers.
Oh yeah, and on the recipe on the blog, she did bacon wrapped sliders. But, if you watch her show… she didn’t make them that way on there. So, we made them the way she did on her show.
I made the onion strings… and if you have had the ones from Salt Grass… I will say they taste the same!!
And the burgers are done……. Just throw some bacon on there and then a few onion strings and dunk them in ranch dressing!! YUM!!!
We enjoyed our dinner outside! Then Payton really wanted to “see-saw”
Climbing the ladder in heals and all!!
Wasn’t working well, so we changed shoes!
Looking through the “Window”
I. LOVE. THIS. PICTURE.
Then, we got the water/sand cart out.
Getting dirty.
Oh yeah, and remember those cookies I made?
I turned them into something really bad….
Yup… added icing in the middle!!! I call this a “double doozey” I have had them like this from the cookie places in the mall. It is delish!!! Very rich, but delish!!
Had a Sunday Funday!! And yes, Phil watched Football all day in the middle of all this!! :)
