Snow Day Feb 2014

We had a snow day last week. Payton went out and played in it by herself. I stayed inside with Paisley.

Then later we went outside to get a quick picture of Paisley in the snow for the first time. I couldn’t not get a picture since this was her first snow day!

Daddy’s and Their Girls in the Ice 2013

Yesterday was the first day we ventured out. And by venturing out I mean we went to my sisters house a few miles down the road. She had to work and Geoff text me Saturday night and asked if we wanted to come and let the dad’s take the girls to slide down a hill on the ice. So I stayed at their house with Nolan and the boys took the girls to the school and let them go down an ice hill.

(and I have to give my husband credit. He actually took almost all of these pictures. I asked him to take pictures and I figure he would A. Forget or B. not get that many. So, I was wrong! :)

Family Ice Day 2013

Yesterday we were iced in all day. Most likely we will be all weekend. I don't plan on leaving the house. Just not worth the risk to me since I don't have to be anywhere.

Phil was supposed to be at work at 9:30; then they pushed it to 10 but he didn't even leave our house until 10:15 and I told him not to go, it would be pointless. But, he ended up going and as soon as he got there they sent them all home (without pay also). So turned out to be a complete waste for him to go.

Anyhow, Payton was so excited for daddy to be home with us. And before Phil changed clothes he took her outside to play in the ice and look at all the trees, etc. I stayed inside, didn't want to risk falling down or slipping or anything.

I took a few pictures standing inside the back door. I asked Phil to take a few that I couldn't get close enough too.

Our giant tree partly fell. We are grateful it didn't hit a house. We need to cut it down anyways, but we have been waiting because it is so huge.

A lot did fall down, like one side of the tree. And some fell on the other neighbors side too.

We just hung out, did Christmas crafts, ate dinner (tacos) as a family (something we never get to do during the week). Watched lots of tv. :) and to finish the night we rented Smurfs 2 on demand.
This is my view :)
