Yesterday we were iced in all day. Most likely we will be all weekend. I don't plan on leaving the house. Just not worth the risk to me since I don't have to be anywhere.
Phil was supposed to be at work at 9:30; then they pushed it to 10 but he didn't even leave our house until 10:15 and I told him not to go, it would be pointless. But, he ended up going and as soon as he got there they sent them all home (without pay also). So turned out to be a complete waste for him to go.
Anyhow, Payton was so excited for daddy to be home with us. And before Phil changed clothes he took her outside to play in the ice and look at all the trees, etc. I stayed inside, didn't want to risk falling down or slipping or anything.
I took a few pictures standing inside the back door. I asked Phil to take a few that I couldn't get close enough too.
Our giant tree partly fell. We are grateful it didn't hit a house. We need to cut it down anyways, but we have been waiting because it is so huge.
A lot did fall down, like one side of the tree. And some fell on the other neighbors side too.
We just hung out, did Christmas crafts, ate dinner (tacos) as a family (something we never get to do during the week). Watched lots of tv. :) and to finish the night we rented Smurfs 2 on demand.
This is my view :)
