Christmas came and went...
I had not had time to update the blog since Christmas. I had a wonderful Christmas. We had Christmas at my dad's on Christmas morning. I had to work so we were not able to make it to my moms until Saturday morning. I got lost of great gifts. My mom and step dad surprised us and got all of us kids a Wii! My first thought was how excited Phil will be that we finally have a Wii. Before he left we always wanted to go buy one and play on Sunday's (which was our "date day") but we never did. So now when he gets home we will have to make time for him and I to play, maybe when Payton is sleeping, haha. It was so much fun watching my niece open all of her gifts. We all kept saying how next year I will have an 8 month old at Christmas. I know Payton won't understand or get too excited about the gifts but one thing I know is that Parker will be right there helping her little cousin out! After this year she is a pro! My Aunt B gave Payton her "1st Christmas gift" unborn. She isn't even here and yet she is already spoiled. Hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas!!! Here is a picture of me at 22 weeks!!

Another checkup...
Today I am 21 weeks and 2 days along. Over halfway through. I had a doctor appointment today. I got to hear Miss Payton's heartbeat and little kicks on the Doppler. It was nice to hear. As she gets a little bigger those kicks will get stronger. The doctor said everything sounded great. I go back in 4 weeks to do my glucose testing. After that appointment I will be going every two weeks. She agreed to induce me April 28, 2009. So this is when we will get to meet our little miracle, unless she of course decides to bless us with her presence before then. Only four more months to go, I know that it will be here before I know it. I have lots to do to get ready for her!!

You would have thought it was Christmas...
Today my sister and Parker came over to see me. A friend of mine from work had given me boxes of clothes for Payton. So as I was going through the clothes Parker would come over to me and say "dah dah" and grab a piece of clothing that I was stacking nicely. Then if it wasn't the piece of clothing she wanted she would wine. So I would then grab the one she wanted and give it to her, and of course if you have ever read my sister's blog you would know that she loves putting things on her head and around her neck. I don't have any pictures of that part of the show because I didn't have my camera handy. After getting my camera this is what she decided to do with the clothes. She entertained herself for a good 30 min and made me and Marla laugh.
Here is the whole stack of clothes for Payton that was given to me..

This is when she only had a few dragged out..

She would bring some back to me to exchange for others...

She would lay in a pile of clothes and kick and make cute baby sounds...

Here is the one where she started to tear the pile down..

Then she continued to play in the floor with all the clothes...

And I think she is getting tired.....

She makes me smile...
Our little girl makes me smile! I feel her moving all the time now. She likes to kick mommy! But I am loving every minute of it. I look forward to waking up everyday just so that I can feel her move. It's like I just sit still waiting to feel her. It is the most amazing thing!! I went to Northpark Mall today with my sister and friend Kelli. We took Jackson and Garrett (Kelli's boys) and Parker (my niece) to see Santa! We were talking about how next year when we go Payton will be 8 months and she will get to take her picture with Santa!! Since Payton couldn't be there as herself (she was there in me) my sister took this picture of me today at the mall. 20 weeks & 2days pregnant.

She has a name...
We have named our little girl. Her name will be Payton Ann. I love this name. At first Phil wasn't too sure but it has grown on him. So today we decided that this will be her name! Payton isn't named after anyone. But a couple of years ago when my sister was trying to decide on a name for my niece every time I made my suggestion I would say "how bout Payton" no matter how many times they told me no I always came back to that name. So I guess now I am glad they didn't use that name, haha. Ann is my mother's middle name. So that is where we got that name. My niece's middle name is also Ann after my mom. So now we will have a Parker Ann and a Payton Ann. I am excited that we can now call her by her name!! Here is a picture that my mom took of me last night at 19 weeks and 2 days.

It's a Girl!!!!!
Well it is now confirmed we are having a little girl! The sonogram lasted 10 minutes. I have the whole thing on the video. I will have to post it later. She is 11oz and about 6 inches long. Her heart rate was 156. She was moving all over the place. It was the coolest thing I have ever seen. They looked at everything, and when I say everything I mean everything. From the brain, eyes, nose, mouth, heart, arms, fingers, legs, spine. I am sure I am leaving out something! Everything looks the way that it is supposed to at this point. I am really blessed that everything looks good. They asked me if I wanted to know the sex, I of course said yes. She told me it was a girl, but that she would let the doctor confirm that once he came in to see me. So he came in and told me that it was absolutely a girl. He said everything looks AWESOME!! Which made me happy when I heard him say that. These are the two sono pictures that they gave me. I asked if she could give me a picture of the whole baby, she said well this is as good of a picture as I can get since the baby is positioned funny. But she is definitely looking towards us when she snapped the picture. You can see her face, kind of looks like a skeleton. You can see her eyes and her mouth! Enjoy!!

Less than a day left...
I have less than 24 hours until I hopefully find out what this little one is! I have heard so many stories lately about babies not being in the right position to be able to see what the sex is. So let's hope this one is cooperative. This sonogram is going to be a lengthy one. They will let me know if the baby is developing properly. They look at the brain, the 4 chambers of the heart, and many more things. I am anxious to hear and learn all of the information. It is just a plus that they can tell me the sex! Last week I started the scrapbook for the baby. This way I can tell the baby things that I am feeling now before I ever get to meet her/him. I have only done one page so far, but that one page took me a whole evening to do. I am getting very excited and you will hear from me in the morning!

Just wanted to remind everyone that my appointment is still set for Monday December 8th @ 9:30 A.M. We made this appointment back when Phil was in town. Seems like forever ago. My mom and sister are going to the appointment with me. I am getting really excited! I will let you know after I talk to Phil and tell him the exciting news!

Moving right along...
I went to the doctor today. I am 17 weeks and 2 days along. Everything is great! I don't have a sonogram picture to share today. But I did get to hear the heartbeat and it was amazing!! The doctor got the Doppler all ready and said "Ok let's see if we can find this baby's heartbeat" then the first place he laid it was right in the middle of my stomach and there was the heartbeat. Then he said "well we didn't have to search for it" So it was pretty neat to me that the first place he checked I got to hear it. I wish that Phil could have been there with me to experience that. In less than two weeks we will find out what this little one is!! I am ready to give "it" a name! I hope everyone has a Happy Thanksgiving!! I am truly blessed and thankful for my family and friends! I couldn't make it through this time without you!!

Pictures of us...
Today we went to the park with Marla and Parker. My sister has become quite the photographer. Phil and I have very few pictures, ones that I like anyways. So Marla took some pictures of us. These will be the last pics taken of us until we become parents! When the baby comes I know who will be doing my "professional" pictures. She does such a great job. Thanks sister!

Another baby appointment
We went to the doctor on Wednesday. The baby has grown so much since 3 weeks ago. The doctor said everything looked great. This little one was moving around all over the place. She could barely get a good picture because the baby would not be still I guess you could say! It was pretty cool. I am really glad that Phil got to see it with me.

Intelligender says....
It's a girl! I took a urine test this morning called Intelligender. It is a test that somehow detects if you are having a boy or a girl. Studies show that it is 90% accurate. You can go to the website www.intelligender.com and click on "results" and compare my picture to the other pictures on there. You can see what color it would have been if it was a boy! I guess only time will tell if this is true or not! But for now, I am saying it's going to be a girl.

Baby Update
I went to the doctor today. I am actually a little further along than they measured at my first appointment. I am 10 weeks and 1 day. My due date is now May 3rd. I got another sonogram today. It's amazing how much this baby has grown in the past four weeks. Last time it looked like a little bean and this time it is starting to look more like a baby. The heart beat was very strong. I have attached another picture of our baby. If you can't tell what it is, the head is on the left and the feet are to the right. I didn't really see the arms. The baby is kind of bent over (as the Dr. labeled it) so he wasn't sure if he would get a good measurement but he did. The baby is a little bigger than an inch. He said that everything looked good. My next appointment is in three weeks on October 29th. Phil will be home for a few days then so we will get another sonogram and he will get to go to the Dr. with me.

Our Little Surprise
Phil and I found out recently that we are going to be parents. I am 6 weeks and 3 days pregnant. My due date is May 5th. I had my first doctors appointment Wednesday September 10th. My doctor is the same doctor that delivered my niece, I thought that was kind of neat. Phil was unable to go to the doctor with me due to him being in Savannah, Georgia for training to deploy to Iraq in November. My mother went with me to my first appointment. First we saw the sac, then we saw the embryo, (I was a bit worried that we wouldn't see the heartbeat) but the next thing we knew we saw the heart beating as fast as can be. It was the most amazing thing. We are very excited! It is going to be rough with Phil being gone, but I know that everything will work out how it is supposed too! I go back to the doctor Monday October 6th and will update you more then! I have attached a picture of my first sonogram.
