Getting the Nursery Ready

Over the weekend we began to get the nursery started. Well- I should say Phil, Terry, and Geoff did. Although, I did help paint some trim around the doors. Other than that, I just supervised :)

We had picked the paint color out a couple of weeks ago. I bought a few different samples to choose from and I am actually really happy with the purple that I chose.

Friday night Phil and I went to buy the new baseboards and the paint. We were trying to have everything ready to make it go as smooth as possible. But, you always have to make a few trips back to Lowes. Always.

Saturday morning Terry came over and they began to paint all the walls purple except for one, they painted solid white. Geoff would be coming Sunday to do the purple stripes on the walls. They did the baseboards as well.

Then Saturday night I painted around the door trims and window seal and Phil took off all of the doors so that on Sunday they could sand them and then paint them white.

Sunday took another full day. But, glad and happy to say that the painting is finished! And I love it! I am excited to decorate over the next couple of days. Well- I guess I should say get the crib put up and bedding on her bed, curtains hung etc. I do not have a lot of decor going up. I probably wont post pictures until I am completely done with the room. Probably wont be until after my shower since I will be getting a few things there.

But, for now… it’s painted… :)

Last week I let Payton make a painting to  hang in her little sisters room. Marla did this with Parker when she was pregnant with Grace and I thought it was a great idea.

She did the ALL ON HER OWN. I did not help her at all… So I guess I am saying I am impressed…

Turquoise is my accent color. I will have a couple of things that are turquoise to add a little more color. There is a little turquoise in her baby bedding.

20, 22, & 23 Weeks

Today I am 23 weeks along. At first I thought time was going slow, but now I have decided that time is going way too fast. It actually needs to slow down a bit. Of course I am excited to meet Paisley and hold her, but that also means Payton gets bigger and gets closer to 5 years old. I just want to freeze time and I don't want my baby girl growing anymore. Ok- I am getting off subject here. But, it's true I think about it daily how much she is growing up and she is going to be such a big helper and such a good big sister to Paisley.

This picture was at 20 weeks
This picture was last week, 22 weeks
I don't have a picture for this week, but wanted to write down all the things I am feeling etc. - I wake up to go to the bathroom usually every two hours - I feel the baby move a lot (this started to be really frequent around week 20 - I can see my stomach move and feel her on the outside of my belly - I've gained 15 pounds so far - My legs cramp a lot during the night - I have a pretty decent amount of energy, I still get tired easy - No particular cravings with this baby. I just like food. - My blood pressure has been good so far.

We have our C-section scheduled and so it kind of makes it more real! A little over 3 months and this sweet girl will be here!

First Day of Dance 2013

Last week the girls has their first day of dance for this year. They aren't all in the same class, but they are going at the same time this year. Parker is in the older girls class, and Grace and Payton are in a class together.

I love looking back at how they have changed, but it makes me sad because they have grown so much!
