Paisley @ 8 Weeks

On Monday, Paisley was 8 weeks old. We have had a rough past week. She began crying really hard and refusing to eat at most feedings last Wednesday. I really wasn't sure what was going on. I changed her formula thinking that would help. It didn't. I just thought she became a fussy baby, because I really didn't know what else to think or what it could be. Anyhow, so on Sunday we were eating dinner and Phil and I said that Paisley's tongue was white. And Marla was over, and she said "Oh I best she has thrush" I of course got worried because I didn't know what that was. Well, if there tongue is white and you try to wipe it off and it doesn't come off then it is thrush. And so I did, and didn't come off. My poor baby. I called the Dr. on Monday morning and took her in and sure enough it was thrush. So, we got her prescription. I really am not sure if it is helping. She has had a few crying spells still each day and not able to eat, just like she had been. And I still see white. I am taking her in the morning for her 2 month WELL visit so I will then see if they want to give her a stronger medicine. I HATE seeing her in pain. Makes me cry when she is. It is AWFUL.

She has been getting her last bottle for the night at 7p and depending on how much she cries I get her down by 8 and she wakes up 12-12:30a then again at 4-4:30a and after that feeding its hard to get her back down. I have been messing with her from that feeding on until 7:30 when we get up for the day. I have been very sleep deprived and I am EXHAUSTED and ready for a longer sleep stretch. Will she ever? Some nights it seems like she won't. But, I know one day she will, she has too!!

Size one diapers
0-3mo clothes
4oz every 3 hours
doesn't like the car ride
loves to be held (by mommy)

She weighed in at 11 lbs 9oz

Bath Time

Bath time is sometimes kind of tricky these days. Paisley is usually really tired right before bedtime, which is when I like to give the bath. One- because maybe it will help her sleep?? (I am wishful thinking) and two- because it helps pass those last 15 minutes that I am trying to keep her awake and busy before bed and last feeding go by. I have been giving Payton a bath and letting Paisley sit in the bouncy seat in the bathroom while waiting.. she usually does pretty good. But, she has her moments.

Paisley usually isn’t too excited for bath time. I took my chances last night and brought my camera in there in hopes that I could snap a couple of pictures. And thankfully, I was able too!! I had not taken any of her since her first sponge bath at home when she was a week old. I am usually hurrying as fast as I can and Phil is never home with us at this time to help take a picture.

Got one of the oldest!~! She is too big for her own good. And such a great big sis she is.

Love my girls so much. The past few days have been really stressful and I have had a couple of breakdowns. But, ALL worth it so I am not trying to complain. It’s ok to cry sometimes! :) I will blog later about her eating and changing of formula. I don’t want to forget these moments!

Paisley 7 Weeks

- size one diapers
- 0-3 month clothes
- 4oz every 3 hours
-smiling at us when we talk to her
-likes to be held a lot
-loves her mommy to hold her and put her to sleep
-once she is mad, she is mad.. :)
- likes the pacifier
-likes to look around when she is in her car seat
- I started putting her in her crib at night to sleep. I was literally
getting no sleep because she is a very noisey baby when she is sleeping.
She moves around a lot. I had been struggling keeping her awake until 8:30-9pm so
I decided I will put her down after a 7:30 feeding because that is when she seems the most tired.
And she had been waking up at around 12:30-1 anyways so I figured  I might as well put her down
earlier when she seems very tired and that has worked the past couple of nights. I feed at 7:15-7:30p then lay her in her crib at 7:45-8:15p. She then sleeps until about 12:30-1am; she takes a bottle. Lay her back down pretty easily after this feeding. Then up again at 4:30-4:45 and doesn't go back down that easy after this one. She is pretty restless from 5:30-7:30 then finally I give another bottle 7:30-7:45 I am messing with her for those two hours so I am pretty tired by this point. She is tired, and its obvious I am just not sure why its harder to put her down, this is when she wants me to hold her.
Anyhow, I am happier putting her in her crib. I never thought I would this early on, but its working out as of now.

I'm 7 weeks old!!!!!

Nolan just loves his baby cousin, he tries to get her pacifier all the time!

When she smiles it literally makes my eyes water!!

These are blurry but I had to post because she was smiling!

Sweet sisters

She started sleeping in her crib at the night just before reaching 7 weeks

She naps on her tummy in her crib during the day!

Payton Lost Her First Tooth

On Sunday, Payton told us that her tooth felt yuck. I just assumed she must have had a cavity or something. So, Phil took a look and sure enough she had a loose tooth. As soon as he said it, she immediately started crying and being very dramatic. She would barely let us look at it.

Anyhow, on Monday morning when she woke up she told me she thought she would wait and loose her tooth on the morning, (meaning Tuesday). I just said ok Payton..

We went to Marla's... She ate lunch, played, had a snack, and played more. She was dancing around and I saw her teeth, and saw that one tooth kind of hanging there. It was very loose. I told her to go show aunt Marla. She did, and they went to Parker's room and looked up close in her mirror. Marla told her to wiggle it back n forth, so she did. And there it was in her hand... When they came walking out to the living room to show me she just lost it and started crying really hard.  She did like how she looked and since she saw a little red it made her cry harder.

We are very proud of her for pulling out her own tooth. To be honest I really didn't want to have to be the one to pull it out, so this time it worked out :)

I took a picture of her on Sunday after we discovered she had a loose tooth. I wanted to make sure I had a before picture.

Snow Day Feb 2014

We had a snow day last week. Payton went out and played in it by herself. I stayed inside with Paisley.

Then later we went outside to get a quick picture of Paisley in the snow for the first time. I couldn’t not get a picture since this was her first snow day!
