Helping Daddy……

Or maybe she was in the way…. A little? :)

This morning Phil installed the safety locks on the cabinets in the kitchen. I was in the living room watching a Lifetime movie and Payton made her way into the kitchen with daddy.

I was sitting on the couch and I can hear the conversation going on between the two of them. Goes something like this….

Daddy: No No Payton

Payton: Gibber Jabber Gibber Jabber

Daddy: Oh really"?

Payton: More Jibber Jabber

Daddy: Payton stop it

Payton: More Jibber Jabber (I REALLY wish I could type out what she says!!!)

(All the while I am sitting on the couch smiling… is that mean?? :)

That conversation continues for quite sometime until Phil finally said “Is your movie over? Can you come get her?” So then I decided to get up and grab my camera!!

By this time he was working on Payton’s favorite cabinet to get into… and probably the most unsafe… the cleaning supplies under the sink!!!!!!!!!!!!

 

What Mom? I am helping Daddy!

Gosh I love these two!!!!

13 Months – Payton

 

 

Today Payton is 13 months!!! She has been keeping me so busy!!

Eating:

• Still taking a bottle (I haven’t even really tried to take it away just yet, I will soon).
• She is on Organic Whole Milk.
• Not much of a veggie eater.
• Loves fruit (Oranges, bananas, grapes, & black berries).
• Loves cheese.
• Loves chicken nuggets (mainly chick fil a nuggets, seeing as she can eat a 6 pack).
• Usually eats a fruit for breakfast.
• Fruit & a meat for lunch (along with cheese).
• Fruit & a meat for dinner (along with cheese).

Sleep:

• She has been sleeping 12 hours straight through the night.
• Sometimes after the 12 hours I give her a bottle and she sleeps another 2-3 hours.
• Naps usually once a day 1-3 hours.
• Sleeps with her blanket and baby.
• Goes to bed between 7-7:30.
• Nap time is usually about 1 depending on when she gets up for the day.

Mobility:

• She is EVERYWHERE!!!!!
• Takes 3-5 steps all by herself, she gets so excited that she falls by the time she gets to you.
• Gets very frustrated when she is pushing something and runs into the wall or couch.
• Loves to push her stroller around the house and loves to push the shopping cart around at Aunt Marla’s.

Misc:

• Has quite the little attitude.
• She knows what she wants when she wants it…. Sound familiar??? :)
• Loves bath time. Loves to try to drink the water in the bath
• Very attached to her mommy. Rarely wants anyone else to hold her.
• Loves her daddy. She gets so excited when she sees him. Some weeks he only sees her on the weekend.
• I have started teaching her where her nose, ears, eyes, etc. are. Still working on it! :)

Vocals:

• Talking all kinds of gibber gabber.
• I sing “Jesus Love Me” to her, and she sings back to me. Just melts my heart.
• She says “HI” all the time.
• Says “Mama”
• Says “Dada”
• I asked her to say “Pawpa” the other day and she did!!
• She has certain things she says all the time which I know mean something, just not quite sure what they all mean just yet!!

Payton you are the sweetest baby!! Mommy and Daddy love you more than you will ever know! I love staying home with you. I couldn’t have asked for a better job!!

She would rather walk

Payton has been walking everywhere.... with something that she can push that is. And as you will see in the video she gets really mad when she runs into something and can no longer move. Marla did get her to take 3 steps by herself... although, I missed it!!! I think it is only a matter of time before she is off by herself!!

Outside fun

 

First I want to apologize for slacking on blogging… I haven’t been doing so good!!

Yesterday the girls played outside so I snapped a few pictures.

I love that I get to stay home and enjoy all these wonderful moments with these girls!

Have I said lately how much I am grateful for all of my nieces??? Well I am!!! :)

I love these women and girls that are in my life. I am so lucky to have them all.

Playing with the water cart

 

Dad and Kay got Payton this water cart for her 1st Birthday. She loves this thing. I kept Parker this morning for a little bit and so we played outside. These two girls are becoming best friends. They love each other so much. It is so fun to watch them play. The other day we were driving and we had hopes that the girls would fall asleep in the car, but instead they were screaming, yelling, laughing SO loud at each other. Marla made the comment “they are going to get into a lot of trouble together before too long” I said “yup, they sure are!!” But we wouldn’t have it any other way!! :)

Gotta love some brownies!!
