11 weeks

My baby girl is 11 weeks today!! She is growing so much. Each day it seems like she does something new. Her crying has gotten so much better. She still of course has a few crying spells, but I am sure most baby's do. She is smiling all the time (except when I put the camera in front of her). She is not sleeping through the night yet, there are some nights she does sleep 7 hours, but until she is consistent at doing it I am not going to say "she is sleeping through the night." :)

Here are some pictures from this morning!!

Also, want to add that Phil and I are getting married Friday September 4th. We leave for our honeymoon to St. Croix the next morning the 5th. I am super excited!! Here is a picture of my ring! :) Not the best picture, I took it myself as you can tell.

Day at Granny's

This afternoon we took a trip to my granny's. Sometimes I dread long car rides, but Payton did very well. Parker came with us, she is only in one picture, I kept asking her if she would come take pictures with the baby and she kept telling me "NO" in her oh so cute voice :).

Look at those blue eyes

She looks JUST like Phil in this picture!!!!

I was trying to get a good picture of Payton by herself sitting up, but as you can see she was not having that

2 months

This past Sunday Payton turned 2 months old. I just keep telling myself "oh my goodness, she will be one in 10 months." I know that sounds silly, but as fast as time flies it will be here before I know it. We had her well visit yesterday. She was such a trooper with her shots. She did so well. I think mommy was a little more upset about it than Payton. She weighs 12 lbs 11 oz, she is in the 90 percentile. She is 24 1/4 inches long, and in the 97 percentile.

Here are a few pictures from today. Payton and I went to Phil's mom's work so she could show off her grand baby and we had lunch with her. Phil's little brother went with us too.

Payton actually fell asleep in her car seat while I was driving. She did it yesterday on the way home from the doctor and then again today on the way home from Karen's work. I am so proud of her :).

Where is "Phul"

Every time Parker sees a picture of Phil she says his name, which comes out as "Phul." So then we started asking her "where is Phil?" And she of course would say "wor" aka "work" because that is where everyone is when you ask Parker where someone is. So we started teaching her that Phil is in Iraq. And Iraq comes out as "Irat." It is the cutest thing. I got it on video this evening.

8 weeks old

Today our little girl is 8 weeks old. I hardly can believe it. Even though some days seem to last forever, time really has flown by. Payton has been sleeping better during the night. She is still not sleeping through the entire night, but I can tell that she is at least progressing. The longest she has gone without being fed is 7 hours. The longest she has actually slept is around 5 hours. She usually goes right back to sleep after her feedings through the night. Her crying spells have gotten a lot better. On a good day I can put her in her swing and she might put herself to sleep for a little while. On a bad day I usually spend my entire day holding her and get nothing done.

She has now started trying to suck her thumb. Although it is very cute to watch her try to figure out how to get her thumb in her mouth, it is not something I want her doing. I try to put the pacifier in her mouth with she does this.

Payton has three different cries. One cry is her "fake" cry. Another cry is when you have just made her so angry she can't stop crying. And the last cry is when she cries as though someone is hurting her (this happens when she is constipated, (TMI?) my poor baby).

Payton doesn't really like car rides. This is why I hardly go anywhere. It seems like most baby's like it in the car and fall right to sleep once you start driving. But my child is not like most baby's. When she was first born and in her "sleeping" all the time phase then yes she would sleep in the car. But now that she is "growing up" she does not like to be in the car seat, she would rather you hold her.

She is still eating 5 oz every 3 to 4 hours. Of course during the night it may be longer. Her spitting up has gotten so much better. It still happens, just doesn't seem to be as often as before.

She is definitely a mommas girl right now, but I am cherishing it while I can because I know once daddy gets home that may change :).

Smiling in her growing chair :)

Cute little outfit with a bow in her hair :)

Who's diaper is this??

This evening my step dad watched Payton while me and my mom went on a walk. When I came back he had gotten her ready for bed. She was wearing one of the little gowns, so of course when you are holding her it rises up and you can see her diaper/legs. My mom was holding her, I was sitting next to my mom, and I looked over and thought Payton's diaper looked different. It looked like it was sagging a lot, and I knew her diaper couldn't be that full yet since she had just been changed. I took a closer look and realized she was wearing one of Parker's diapers. I started laughing and asked Terry why he put Payton in Parker's diapers?? You see, we have two clear bags on the side of the chair in the living room, one is filled with size 4 diapers for Parker and the other is filled with size 1 diapers for Payton. Anyways, I thought this was really funny so I took a picture of the diaper actually on Payton, and then the two separate diapers so you can see the size difference. What is even more funny is that the diaper doesn't even look humongous on her.

Happy first Father's Day to Phil

Dear Daddy,

I hope you have a wonderful Father's day. I love you very much. Even though you are not here with us we are celebrating what a great daddy you are. We miss you very much and cannot wait to see you in a couple months.

Love,
Payton

Today Payton and I went to my dads for lunch. Here are a few pictures.

Playtime

Payton having some playtime this afternoon. You can see a few oos and awws through the videos. She did so well this morning, she put herself to sleep in the swing and stayed in there for an hour and a half while I got to talk to Daddy on the phone. She is getting so big. I got a Flip video for my birthday, and now that I know what I am doing you will be seeing lots more videos. This way Phil can see her too.

I'm a little girl

I tried putting Payton in the Bumbo seat this morning. She did well. I know it may be a little early, not too sure. But she just sat and looked at me like "mommy what are you doing to me?" Then I took her out and put her in mommy and daddy's chair. It is not her growing chair. She just looks like a little girl in her little blue jean shorts.
