Payton’s Big Girl Bed & Our Long Day

Today we Phil put together Payton’s big girl bed and new dresser. I had planned on doing this when she turned 3 (in a few months). But, after our friends Megan and Hayden turned his bed into a big boy bed it made me really want to go ahead and do it!!
So, yesterday after seeing a movie we went looking all over town for a bed. But, since I am impatient  I wanted to be able to find it and take it home right then. We couldn’t find anything we liked. Came back home, then I was searching the internet… just about gave up then it hit me.. what about Garden Ridge??? I told Phil we could go eat at Red Lobster and use our gift cards and go to Garden Ridge… He said OK!!! Excited for Red Lobster… not Garden Ridge. :)
So we decided to get her a white head board, a mattress, a box springs, and new bedding!! This all came from Garden Ridge. After buying all that, going to eat, then coming home… I left Phil and Payton at home and I ran to Target at 8 o’clock at night. Found her a white dresser and bought her new purple sheets.
Now… onto our Sunday…… We spent the ENTIRE day working on her room. Literally…. it is 8:30 and I just got her in bed and that is because I just got done with her room. I cleaned out her closet and her drawers. Everything is so neat in there. (I have high hopes to cleaning out a couple other closets here too!!)
I will stop rambling and just let you look at pictures!

We skipped church today. But, after Geoff and the girls got out of church he came by to drop something off and I told him Parker could stay and play with Payton. Helped keep her busy while Phil and I were working on things.
They played inside for a long time and watched a movie.

After Grace’s nap they came over. Only he didn’t know he was going to be put to work. We had finished the dresser, but when Phil went to put the drawers in they wouldn’t go in right. So Geoff took it a part and put it back together. Long story short… it still needs to be worked on but I was able to put her clothes in it.
Also, he brought their white storage shelf thing like the one we have, only it it white. They aren't using it anymore so I asked if we could have it!!

Finished!!!!!!!! Pictures aren’t the best but I had to take them with my phone because my lens wouldn’t let me get it all with my camera!

She was excited I guess you could say. Not as excited as I thought she would be. She didn’t really make a big deal about it. I guess she knows she is “BIG” therefore, going to the potty, having a big girl bed… well it doesn’t phase her!! Makes mommy kind of sad!! :( I hope to sneak in and take a picture of her sleeping here in a bit! We shall see!!

1st Time to the Movies (Beauty & and the Beast) 2012

Today we took Payton to her very first movie in the big Theatre. She loves to watch movies at home. We felt like she was ready to go and sit through a movie at the theatre. And she was.

We didn’t go to the movies here at the Harbor because my sister told me that when she took Parker for the first time that the seats would not stay down, therefore, she could not sit alone in the seat. We decided to go to Firewheel. Not to mention, we had gift certificates to AMC from Dad and Kay from Christmas. So it was a win win situation! :)

We first ate lunch here.

We had never eaten there before. But, it was very good and we will eat it again!!!

Movie costs are outrageous. For documentation purposes:

Adults: $8.50

Kids: $7.50

I mean really…. it was an early movie too!!!

****Went to potty in the big potty while in public ALL day today****

We were gone pretty much the entire day, maybe home an hour at the most. We got Payton a new bed, YUP were gonna do it. I just put her to bed in her crib for the last night. Tears just whelped up in my eyes. I didn’t know I was going to get emotional. Well, I mean I kind of thought I would… anyways… I will finish this story tomorrow!!! Good night!
