And he made it......

Phil is home!!! No more worrying if he is going to make it for Payton's birth because he is here!!! He got in this morning. I am so glad he made it home safely. When I arrived at the airport Phil's mother had told the USO lady for the Army that I could have this baby at anytime and was there anyway to get him off the plane first. You see, I started losing my mucus plug Thursday morning and have lost some each day since then. So we know that labor is near, just don't know how near. Anyways, she gets on the phone and makes some calls and said that the Sgt. would get him off the plane and through customs asap. There were 178 troops on the plane, Phil was the 3rd one to walk out. Mind you he was at the very back of the plane and would have been one of the last ones off the plane. The Sgt. kind of freaked Phil out a bit, he told him he needed to see him immediately and Phil's first thought was that something was wrong with me or Payton. So the whole time he is going through customs and waiting to make it through to see everyone he had no clue if there was really something wrong or not. Something I can't leave out is that we were referred to as the "Mucus Family." One of the lady's walked up to Phil's sister, Kelly, and asked her if she was with the "Mucus Family." Needless to say, that is a story that will be pretty funny to tell Payton one day when she is older.

It was really a great feeling to see him walk out and to hear all of these people yelling for him and acknowledging what he does for our country. Just kind of gives you the chills. This again will be a great story to share with our daughter one day.

All of us family waiting for him to arrive

Here is the first picture of Phil when the sliding doors opened and he came through

Soon to be Mommy and Daddy

And a couple belly shots of me at 39 weeks... probably the last ones I will take

Since we are getting so close to Payton actually coming into this world I thought I would share the "guesses" of some of our close friends and family on when they "think" she will make her appearance.

(WHY the dates are showing to be all jagged and uneven I have no idea. When I preview it before I post, they are all straight.)

As you can see, most are hoping for the day of my induction! My hopes are when Phil gets home I go into labor on my own!! But I know I can only hope!! I know one thing, she has no more room in my belly. I am so uncomfortable and have now been vomiting after most meals. I try not to eat as much, but sometimes that is hard to judge. I can officially say I am over being pregnant. I did enjoy it don't get me wrong, but I am ready for this growing baby to come out and meet us. She is such a blessing and I know our lives will be forever changed!!!

My last appointment!

No more doctor visits while being pregnant!!! I had my last appointment and last sonogram today!! It's crazy how time flies, but yet feels like it has been forever. I am dilated at a 1 1/2! Not much but at least I have made progress. Oh- and I also lost 4 pounds since last week! I don't really know what that's about, but I'm not complaining!

I am scheduled for my induction now, which makes this all seem so much more real. We have to be at the hospital Monday night at 9:30 P.M. At this point they will begin to starve me (really I won't be able to eat until after I have her). I will be started on IV fluids... and then Tuesday morning they will start the induction process with pitocin. I am not sure how it all works, but I will find out soon enough!! I got lots of sono pictures today. Enjoy!!

This is her cute, little, chubby face looking right at you.....

And here's her foot!

Her name...

I know I have mentioned before where Payton's name came from, but here is a refresher. Back when Marla was pregnant with Parker I would say my suggestions or should I say "suggestion" and somehow no matter how many times they told me no, I would say the name Payton. (Now I am glad they didn't use this name :)) Her middle name is Ann, which is my mom's middle name and also is my nieces middle name. I wanted to post all these wonderful gifts that we have gotten with her name or initials on them. I think they are all really neat and Payton will always be able to cherish them her entire life.

Aren't these SO cute? My mom got these for Payton and pictures are soon to come of Payton wearing them :)

This is a rocking chair that Phil's Aunt Leroy made up for her... it's too cute
(Sorry I know the picture is not the best, it is the only one we had and I am currently not in possession of the chair)

This is a light cover that my sister got Payton for her nursery

My sister also got her this precious outfit.. pictures to come of her in this outfit as well!

Marla also made this adorable bow holder, which matches her room (I actually got some bows today that I can put on there :))

These are blankets that my friend Michelle's mom made...

These are hung in Payton's room, my friend Casey got these for her...

My friend Kelli made this onesie ...

My granny made these burp cloths and hooded towels!! I love them!

Like I have said before, this baby is already so spoiled and we haven't even met her yet. I am lucky to have such great friends and family (talented one's at that)!!!

Speaking of talented people, my papaw was one of the most talented men that I have ever known. He could build just about anything. He passed away back in 2003. One of the last things he did make were these rocking horses for his great grand babies. My mom got all three of us kids one so that we would have them when we had children. I had a shower today given by people at my mom and Terry's church. My mom gave me the rocking horse today. I must say the tears started rolling down my face when I read the card.

Here is a picture of what the card read...

Here is the rocking horse that my papaw made...

I am so grateful that Payton has a piece of something from my papaw. I consider myself lucky to have the things that he made me and now I can share them with my daughter.

I know that had nothing to do with her name, but I had to share!!

37 weeks & 2 days

I went to have an ultrasound this afternoon and Payton is still looking good. She is showing to weigh 8lbs 1oz this week, a little over 1/2 pound more than last week. So as you can tell my blood pressure being high is not affecting her growth, which is good of course. They always have me sit in a room for about 10 minutes and monitor Payton's heartbeat to make sure that I am not stressing her out, well today she had fallen asleep, so they had to wake her up with this vibrator type thing. As soon as she buzzed it on my belly I felt Payton jump. I know it doesn't hurt them, but I thought my poor baby!! I am measuring 38 weeks and 2 days along. I go for my check up in the morning and they should check to see if I am dilated any. Also, I will have one more sonogram before she is born, that is if I make it till next Tuesday! Only 2 more weeks to go, if not less!!

These sonogram pictures are getting harder and harder to tell what is what.... but it is her face and hands again. This week her cheeks didn't look as chubby as in the last one!!

Payton is going to be rich!!

Not really... but I wanted to post her cute piggy bank that my mom and Terry bought her for Easter. Now any loose change that Phil or I get we can just put it in her little piggy bank. We haven't even met this baby yet, but I would have to say she is already completely spoiled!!! :)

Not the day I expected...

Yesterday I had an appointment for my ultrasound to make sure that Payton was still growing well and that there was still enough blood flowing through the umbilical cord. The sonogram was fine Payton looked great as they say, she is showing to weigh 7lbs 7oz. She looks like she has some chubby cheeks and this time she actually had quite a bit of hair. The whole reason of having this sonogram is because of the blood pressure issue that I have had through the pregnancy. Well- they started asking me what my blood pressures have been and I told them and this doctor was not impressed. They checked my blood pressure and it was a bit high. So he calls my doctor and they decide to send me to triage to monitor me for a couple hours and do some lab work. So I think immediately I was kind of freaked out because I thought "am I going to have this baby today??" Which don't get me wrong, I am ready for her and want her here but was hoping she would wait till her daddy gets home. But I know that it is out of my control and what ever is safe and healthy for us is what we will do.

So, I get down to triage they begin to monitor my blood pressures every 15 minutes. Of course they are also monitoring the baby's heart beat as well. The first reading was high, but the nurse says it was because I was lying on my back. So she had me lay on my side the whole time that I was down there and each time they took my blood pressure my mom and I were shocked at how much it had dropped just by me laying there. My blood pressure has never been as low it was in that short amount of time that I was there than it has through my entire pregnancy. Then she took blood to send off and make sure that it was all normal. They were checking my liver enzymes for preclampsia, and it all came back normal. They also checked my urine for protein, which came back normal as well.

Dr. Lombardi came in to see me and he said that he was going to send me home and that he thought I was okay. He said it was good that we are planning to be induced in 3 weeks. We will still plan on that as of now, but know that it could change depending on my blood pressure. I go back on Friday for my regular check up with Dr. Chhutani. Also, I will be having weekly ultrasounds until I have Payton, just to make sure everything is still good.

They told me to try and only lay on my right or left side and avoid lying on my back. Which is something I usually always do, I hardly ever lay directly on my back. If I start to have blurred vision or headaches then I need to call them. And drink lots of water, which I normally do on my own!!

Here is a picture of my chubby cheek baby girl, it's kind of hard to make it out if you aren't familiar with sonogram pictures. :) But you can see her cheeks, her eyes, her nose, her mouth (kind of looks like she is smiling) and she has her hands on her face.

Do you think he is really holding the swords??

Just thought I would share this picture of Phil. We will get to see him in just a few weeks when Payton is born! I am excited for him to be home. It has been really tough not having him here with me, but it is going to be even more tough to say bye to him again when he leaves to go back.

Maternity pictures at 35 weeks...

My sister took my maternity pictures yesterday. She took so many different ones, a lot of them turned out really good. We are still going to take some pictures in the bluebonnets but we have to wait till the weather is better, hopefully this weekend we will get too.

Here are only 3 different pictures, I know there are 6 of them... but that is because each one is in black and white and in color. I loved both and couldn't decide so I thought "hey why not post them both." I will post more later. My sister did such a great job!! (the reason there is a picture of me with the pancakes is because that is what I craved MOST while being pregnant with Payton.)

35 weeks...

I had my checkup today and it went well. Payton's heartbeat is in the 150's. My blood pressure had been doing better since I haven't been working, but the past 2 weeks for some reason it has decided to start to rise again. Therefore, I am going to have another sonogram. I thought the last one I had would be it, but I was wrong. I go on Tuesday to have another one just to check and make sure everything is still good. The doctor said she could tell that Payton was growing and had gotten bigger but just to be on the safe side she wanted another ultrasound. She checked me to see if I was dilated.. I wasn't. My cervix has thinned out some, so I guess it's only a matter of time. A little less than 3 weeks to go and my sweet Miss Payton will bless us with her presences!!
