Today Payton is 9 months old!!
We went this morning for her 9 month WELL visit I had to wake the sleeping baby, so I decided to get a picture of her since I hardly ever can get a picture of her sleeping.

She got the regular flu shot today and the H1N1, poor baby!! They also pricked her foot to check her iron level, which was normal. We have to go back in a month to get the 2nd round of the flu shots. The doctor said to start feeding her meats. Which I started to do a day ago. I gave her some deli turkey and she really seemed to like it. She smacks, it is so funny.
She is a growing baby that is for sure!!!
Height: 30 1/2 inches long 97 percentile
Weight: 22 lbs 6 oz 95 percentile
Head: 45.6 90 percentile
She is pretty proportioned. I told Phil that she will probably end up being taller than me!
After we got home we took some pictures. I just started playing around with them and did some different things to them. They are not the greatest... but it was fun!

HAHA... and this one... well I know it was not very lady like.. but it was so funny.. and her face was too!!

Anyways.... what is she up to?
Well- she is a giggle box that is for sure. She is so happy all the time (ok most of the time) and loves to laugh at mommy & daddy. We have so much fun with her.
She is eating about 30 ounces a day. She eats fruit in the morning time and a vegetable at dinner time. She started eating baby yogurt a couple of weeks ago. She really enjoys eating it. I have let her try a few different "real" foods here and there. One day she tried our waffle, a piece of graham cracker, and a real banana. She also enjoys eating the Parent's Choice banana puffs. She picks them up one by one, and if she thinks that she may drop it with just the one hand... she gets her other hand to help. It is so stinking cute!! She makes me laugh.
She still is taking a bottle to go to sleep. I really don't know how I will break her of this, but I know it will work out just like everything else does. She will not let me just rock her and lay her head down, never happens unless she is already half asleep after having her bottle. While I am feeding her the bottle she loves to grab my chin with one had and holds my finger in the other hand. She really only does this to me. I don't know why she does it, but I love that time with her because she is so sweet. She WAS taking one long nap (1-2 hours) and then maybe a short nap (30-45 min). But this weeks she has been fighting naps and I have maybe been getting a 30 minute nap out of her, and that is after crying for 30 minute in her crib. She is sleeping 10-12 hours straight through the night, if she wakes up after 10 hours then I feed her and she goes back to sleep 2-3 hours.
She is waving bye bye. Sometimes it sounds like she says HI. She may or may not be doing this. I like to think she is. :)
She is clapping. We watch watch Racheal Ray every morning and when they clap, she claps. Or if I say YEA PAYTON, she smiles and claps.
She is talking all sorts of words, or should I say sounds or things. I will try to spell it out for you as best as I can, it goes something like this....
a-what-whata-what-a-whata-
It is the cutest thing. Sometimes it sounds like she says ma-ma-ma-ma (Mama) when she is whining when she is hungry or tired. And of course she throws in the da-da-da-da as well. She says all kinds of things.. these are just things I thought I could spell out for you.
Still loves to watch Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. Every time I turn it on she gets this BIG smile on her face. And when the song starts she starts to dance.
Payton loves to stand up. She wont pull up on her own. I try not to help her and let her do it, but I usually am helping her more than letting her do it on her own.

She isn't crawling yet. I think it will be only a matter of time. She is rolling all over the place that is for sure. She scoots backwards, but not forward yet.

She is getting the hang of her walker. She is going forward on that now, whereas in the beginning she would only go backwards.
She is no longer in her infant car seat anymore, she is now in a big girl seat still facing backwards of course. But she was getting too big for that seat!!
She has 2 teeth on the bottom and 4 on top - 2 that I can feel with my finger and actually see, and 2 that I can see working their way in.
Wearing size 4 diapers and wearing size 18 months in clothes.
She is a mess that is for sure!! I love every minute of it though! We couldn't have asked for a happier and healthier baby!! She is perfect and we love her very much!!!
