Baby Dedication

A couple of weeks ago we dedicated Payton to the Lord at our church. It was a great ceremony.

They took some pictures of her the week before. Here are a few.

Payton’s name means….

“Christ Like”

First thoughts: “We are blessed for this wonderful gift!”

“Our desire is for Payton to become a Christian. We want her to always do her best and know we’ll be proud of her.”

17 months

Another month has passed us by!!! Happy 17 Months Payton Ann!!!

• Mommy rocks you to sleep for nap and at bedtime I rock you for a couple of minutes and lay you down awake

• Play with the remote control
• Turn the cable box on/off while we are watching it
• Read books

Payton has all of her teeth! There are a few that you can see and feel but are not all the way there. She also is wearing 24 months clothes and size 4 diaper. 

Payton loves her baby. I feel like she has become more attached to it here recently. She always wants to hold it when she goes night night and always grabs it before we leave to go bye-bye.

Payton Ann you are growing up WAY too fast!! Sometimes I get a little teary eyed thinking how much you have grown in such little time!! I love every minute of it! And SO blessed that I get to stay home with you! You amaze me with something new each day!!! I LOVE YOU!!!!

Our Anniversary

Phil and I spent the weekend at The Gaylord Texan for our 1 Year Anniversary! We had such an amazing time!! The place is beautiful! So nice and relaxing too!!

We got there on Friday afternoon. Got to check in a little early and get settled in our room.

We went down to the Texan sports bar and had a few drinks until our Reservation at the Steakhouse.  The TV in there was massive!!!

Went back to the room and got ready to go to our nice dinner!!

We ordered a bottle of wine. Something we have never done together before. It was special!! The food was pretty good, but very pricey!!

When I called to make the reservations, I told them that it was our Anniversary. They brought this out at the end of dinner. I would say it was FREE.. but I’m sure somehow we paid for it! :)

We then headed over to the Glass Cactus. We got great seats. This was our view.

It was so pretty out. Not hot at all!!

We just relaxed and enjoyed each others company and waited for the Firework show.

I haven’t seen a Firework show in I don’t know how long, but this was really the best show!!

Went back to the hotel

Decided to go to the Sports bar for a few more drinks

And that completed our Friday night!!

We woke up pretty early Saturday morning and head to Grapevine Mills Mall. Did some shopping! Left and ate at Cozumel's right outside the mall. It was SO yummy!!! Then went back to the hotel and took a nap!! Turned into like a 3 hour nap!! We needed it apparently!! Then got ready and went down to the margarita bar in the hotel for happy hour!

We left the hotel and went to eat at Saltwater Willy’s! It was good seafood. Came back to the hotel early and called it a night!! I am not used to staying out so late! We were in bed by 8! Phil was happy because he got to watch some football! I did order a dessert to the room!! The Gaylord is running a special through the end of April 2011 and it is buy one night get one night free if it is your Anniversary!! So if any of you want to do that it is a great little get away!!
