Snowman Craft

This is the first of many Christmas crafts we will be doing this month. We have 25 days to do them, and I’m pretty sure we will be doing quite a few!! I love doing them, and well so does Payton. She gets really excited to do crafts!!

I got this foam snowman at Michaels for only $1.00

Then this pack of foam glittery snowflake stickers for $1.99 at Michaels as well.

And since we will be doing a lot this next month.. I hung some green ribbon I have. I need to get more clothes pins, but I found a pink one in my drawer that actually matched the snowman perfectly. Hopefully Payton doesn’t mess with these too much and we will be able to look at them all month long.

Shrek Ice at The Gaylord

 

This afternoon we loaded up and head to Shrek Ice at the Gaylord Hotel. It was SO neat!! None of us had ever been before. It was quite a treat!! SUPER cold!!! But, well worth it!

And of course Payton had to get a souvenir!!

If you have never been, I suggest going!! Pretty cool! A lot of things are kind of pricey. But, they do have a Gingerbread house and you can decorate cookies, it’s just everything costs. And of course they had ice slides, which we didn’t go down. Phil couldn’t because he had on boots. So, another suggestion… if you go don’t wear heels or boots of any sort or you can’t go down the slide. 

Reorganizing

The other night I decided to reorganize my pantry. Kristina did hers and it really made me want to do mine! I got this shoe holder thing at Lowes for around $10 bucks. Well worth it!! My pantry looks “clean” now. You know how it gets all cluttered and half the time you don’t even know what you have or don’t have in there. Well that is fixed in our household!!

Oh yes, and while I was in the kitchen doing this. Payton did this……

Yup, colored her whole face. This is all so crazy to me. She has recently been coloring all over herself. When she was younger I never had to worry about her doing it. But, now…. she can’t be trusted with ANY markers. In fact, today (Friday) she used a marker to color all over our carpet. (it did come out, but still). And when I ask her why she did it, she tells me “Because I wanted too” REALLY? I know that!! I can’t help but laugh. And probably doesn’t help that after she does this I take pictures of her. But, I never want to forget these moments!!

Decorating for Christmas

Today we finally got to decorate for Christmas. We always do on the Friday after Thanksgiving… so it is no different than usual. But, this year I have been very anxious to decorate!

I’m really not sure that I like my tree this year. I only used the glitter ornaments that I made. I do love all of my other ornaments I have used the past two years. So, who knows if I will use these glitter ones again. I just feel it is BLAH>
