Our niece Grace Jean was born this afternoon. She is beautiful!!

Top 10 Random things

10. It is ok to let your 8 1/2 month old cry.
9. When someone says something (negative) to your child and clearly they can't understand what you are saying.. then you are saying it to the parent, which sometimes comes out as a cutdown. (I know you other mothers know what I am talking about)
8. It's ok if people think your kids cheeks are chubby, they are cute!
7. NEVER give a child something without asking it's mother first. (i.e. food)
6. Sometimes your kids schedule is going to get out of whack.
5. It is ok to spoil your baby, they won't be this way for long.
4. Sometimes parents need breaks from their kids, it doesn't mean you are a bad parent.
3. Every child is different, yet the same in a lot of ways too.
2. Being a mother and waking up to your little one every morning is God's greatest gift.

You are probably wondering what this all means. Most of the things have been on my mind and I wanted to share, and some things I need to remind myself of. :)

Mommy & Me fun

Ok maybe we have Mommy & me fun all day everyday!! If I haven't said before... I am so blessed that I get to stay home with our beautiful sweet daughter!! Since all the cold weather we have kind of been cooped up in the house for awhile. So, the past two days I took Payton to the park. She absolutely loves swinging!! I know she loves to go outside period, but when I sit her in that swing she immediately begins to smile and almost always smiles the entire time.

I took these with my phone, so may not be the best quality!! :)

New toy

Well.. not really... this was Parker's when she was Payton's age... and really it isn't a toy... it is an old coke bottle with some corn kernels in it. Makes a nice little noise.. haha.

Anyways, Marla gave me this before Payton was ever born since Parker liked it so much. And as I am sitting here trying to find something new for her to play with, I came across this good ole coke bottle. She likes it... or so it sounds like she does.

Not too sure what to think of it just yet..

Standing and walker!

Payton has started standing by herself for maybe 30 seconds at the most. No she didn't get in this position by herself, she had the help of mommy!! :) She loves to stand. I think she feels like she is cool! Haha

We got out her walker yesterday. She likes it, but doesn't know what all she can do in it quite yet.
