A video just for fun!!
This morning after Payton ate breakfast I thought I would video her doing a few things. Although, she is so interested in the camera and the flip these days it is hard to get her to do anything. As you will see in this video, the first 30 seconds she is too busy showing off for the camera!! :)

Mommy's new toy
Since I had Payton I lost 50 pounds. 20 of it being the weight that I gained with her. So I lost an extra 30. I guess I should say before Phil got home in August all of that happened. Since he has been home and since we have been married I have gained back 10-15 pounds, it fluctuates. Phil loves to eat, I love to eat... the difference is- he burns it all day at work, whereas I do not.
Weight is a struggle for a lot of people, including me! I have to work hard to get weight off, but yet it seems so easy to put on!!
So- we got this hoping I can get off those extra pounds and hopefully more! I am excited and hope that I do well! Wish me luck! :)

A new friend..
We got Payton this Valentine's Elmo. He blows kisses (which is something we had been working on the week before) and he says a few things too!! She plays with an Elmo (the one that talks a lot and is a really nice one) over at Parker's and she just lights up when he talks! For the record I do NOT like stuffed animals at all. But this Elmo doesn't really bother me.
Payton was sitting in the floor playing with her Elmo and she fell backwards on top of him, it was so cute.

Look at that face...

Then, I told Payton to give Elmo kisses... and she did!!! She likes to give kisses to all her toys, it is hit or miss to give us one.. it's more of a game when i say "Give mommy a kiss" She turns her head and laughs, the little stinker.

Why isn't she sleeping???
We had been doing really good, or I say WE I mean PAYTON. She was sleeping through the night so I thought everything was good with night time sleep. I think I will always have a battle with the naps. But I told myself that was fine, I could deal with little naps as long as she slept through the night. Well- the past 5 days or so she has been waking up a lot through the night. When you get woke up in the night and you are so tired (I am so tired) then my first thought is to go get a bottle and go and feed her. But then as I am sitting there rocking and feeding her in the middle of the night I am like "why did I make her this bottle? Is she really hungry? Does she just "think" she needs this?" Since I know she is capable of sleeping through the night it makes it that much tougher for me to decide what to do?
Her cry is not just a little whine cry like "I am tired and about to fall back asleep cry" It is the "help me cry I am hurting...." (She isn't really hurting, it just sounds like that.)
So after many nights of this going on and waking up every 3 hours. I went in and still fed her at midnight. I then remembered that I HAD been laying her down wide awake after her bottle and she put herself to sleep. Well- about a week ago she cried one night so I rocked he to sleep. I guess I have been continuing to rock her and not "just lay her down". So I started thinking is this the problem??? So after the bottle at midnight, I decided to just lay her down. Well she started to scream. I let her cry for about 20 minutes. Well I can't sleep because even with the monitor off I can still hear my baby crying. I don't like to hear that, at all. So I go back in there, try to rock her, she continues to cry while I am holding her (which usually does not happen) but I guess she got herself so upset she couldn't calm down. So I thought well if you are going to cry while I hold you then I will just lay you down and let you cry. (Mean mommy, I know) Well she cried harder...... So I go back in there, rock her SOUND to sleep, lay her down asleep, walk out and she begins to make little cries but nothing too bad then stayed asleep for almost 4 hours.
Why is this happening? Has anyone else had this issue with their baby?? I thought could it be teething? But I really do not think so.

First haircut
Tonight we gave Payton her first haircut. Let me just say that it is not easy to do when she is trying to look back at me, or look to each side for Daddy. I tried turning on Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, but then all she wanted to do was dance and move her head all around... so as you can guess that didn't work too well either. So we did get a few pictures, but they are not the best.
Payton had a little tail growing in the back. Some people would make fun of it, make comments about it, laugh, etc. But, in my mind she was my baby and I didn't want to cut her hair!! But, I finally decided that it would maybe grow more evenly if I did cut it.
So here we go....

Ta-Da.......... uneven and all :)

Happy Valentine's Day
Happy Valentine's to everyone!!

I pretty much got every facial expression Payton can make this morning while trying to take her Valentine's pictures. Her personality is really starting to show. It is too funny! She was actually throwing a bit of a fit so it was hard for me to get any good ones of her.

Singing machine!!
Payton is singing in the microphone. Papaw and Gran (dad and Kay) got Payton this for Christmas. She really hasn't understood that the little microphone actually has sound coming out of it until now. Phil & I would always talk in it and of course she would look at us funny. She is so funny, we love her so much!! :)

Snow - Round 3
We went back out again.... I forgot to let Payton try the snow. Although, she was not too interested in eating it!!
I am sure this won't be my last "Snow" post. This is like a once in a childhood/lifetime for Payton!!!

The piece of snow on her jacket was dropped there, right by here mouth, I thought maybe she would try to eat it... Nope!!

Umm... no thank you Mommy

Look at that face... Momma you are crazy!!! :)

Snow, snow, & more snow!!
We were excited to wake up to this...

I can't believe that it has already snowed TWICE since Payton has been born! That is like a record!!

I can hardly get Payton to smile like she usually does (this past week anyways)... As I mentioned before, she is showing her personality. The next two pictures are the faces she has been making. Along with the "look" she makes some kind of sound, like ohhhwhoo... It's still cute :)
