19 Months

DSC_0470

Another month has passed us by.

What is Payton up to? OH SO MUCH!!! She is quite the little rascal.

Saying all kinds of words. Here are some that I can think of off the top of my head. (kind of a lot.. :) )

And some of these words she doesn’t say how they are spelt… but I don’t know how to spell it like she say it… HA

    • Mommy
    • Daddy
    • Darter (Parker)
    • Gee (Grace)
    • Phul (Phil) She likes to copy what I say A LOT
    • Apple
    • I want that
    • Where are you
    • Santa (She points to all of our Christmas decorations and says it!!)
    • Snowman
    • Wing (Swing)
    • Slide
    • Side (Outside)
    • Arney (Barney) (Loves watching)
    • Mickey (Loves watching)
    • Word World (Loves watching)
    • Melmo (Elmo) (Loves watching)
    • I need that
    • Hold you
    • Help you
    • NO
    • and NO
    • and more NO
    • Thank you (says this after everything you give her, I love it)
    • Fee (feet)
    • Nose
    • Ear
    • Tee (Teeth)
    • Eye
    • Baby
    • Water
    • MINE
    • ME (says this and puts her hand towards herself)
    • Color
    • Mil (Milk)
    • Come on
    • Come ere (Come here)
    • Sahh (Sock)
    • Shew (Shoe)
    • Shir (Shirt)
    • Ball
    • Cheese
    • Sna (Snack)
    • Sucker (she does not say sucker, but the word she says I know she is saying sucker) It’s a mom thing I guess :)
    • TAR (Car)
    • Daah (DOG)
    • HI
    • Hello
    • Eeee (eat)
    • BYE; Bye-bye
    • All none (All done)
    • Uh huh (Yes) Sometimes she says “yes mam” when I ask her to. Of course it doesn’t come out that clear.
    • Oh no
    • Nigh-Nigh (Night-Night)
    • Cold
    • Hot
    • Diaper

She will just about repeat anything you ask her too. Her speech is very clear, to me anyway.

Just since yesterday she has started saying “ NO” for everything. Even when she means YES. I don’t know what brought this on. It was seriously like we woke up yesterday and she forgot to tell us UH-HUH after everything, so instead she says “NO”  Which makes things quite interesting.

She loves to say “Mommy, hold you” in the SWEETEST voice EVER!!! I bet she says it 100 times a day, and my heart melts every time she says it. I seriously love the way she says it. Makes me smile just thinking about it!

She loves to be held. I probably spend most of my day holding her/sitting in my lap.

Since Christmas is around the corner we have been trying to get her to say things like “Santa” and Snowman” She responds very well. Gosh she is growing up so fast.

She has become a pretty picky eater. It is hard for me to find things that she will eat, and actually eat well.

Here are some things she eats/drinks. And some are on occasion.

    • Chicken nuggets with ketchup
    • Apples
    • Applesauce
    • Yogurt
    • oranges
    • Cheese
    • Tacos
    • Strawberries
    • Bananas
    • Milk
    • Water
    • Juice (just started letting her have this)
    • Rice

Payton loves to play with her babies. She is constantly carrying them around with a purse on her shoulder and goes and gets into her Cozy Coupe car. We can’t go anywhere without baby. If we leave without her, you better turn the car around to get her.

She has started putting coins in her piggy bank. She loves to do this. We have to watch her closely because sometimes she likes to try and put them in her mouth. But, for the most part she is good about not doing it.

Loves to be outside. I’m not sure what we will do when it is too cold to go out.

She goes to bed between 7:30 and 8:00

Sleeps usually 12 hours

Takes 1-2 hour naps (depends on the day)

She is wearing size 4 diapers

Has a lot of teeth

Wears 24 months/2T clothes

Size 7 shoe

We got Payton Phil these play golf clubs for 5 bucks at Walmart. As soon as Phil opened them up he was almost fighting her for them… HA not really but he said “Payton, let Daddy have them.” And he began to play. Go figure… :)

Nativity scene

Last year for Christmas Phil’s mom (Payton’s Ninna), got Payton this Fisher Price Nativity Scene. We didn’t get to play with it last year so I packed it away with all of our Christmas stuff and knew she would be ready for it this year. It is really cool. It’s a toy but it also is a reminder what Christmas is really all about!!! :)

I had it out on the carpet at first… but then I decided it would go great on the fireplace

DSC_0361

This way she can play with it anytime she wants and I don’t have to put out the breakable one

DSC_0363

It even plays “Away in a manger” and lights up

Rocking horse

Saturday we were cleaning through some stuff in our garage and getting down Christmas stuff. Payton has really never played on her rocking horse. It may be because it was in our garage. So she got to play on it some Saturday morning. She enjoyed it.

My Papaw made this rocking horse. It means a lot to me.

Story time

Yesterday I took Payton to story time at our local library. She really enjoyed, as did I. I think this will be a weekly thing for us now. All the kids in there are between 12 and 24 months. They read and sing and then get to have playtime which gives the moms a chance to chat as well!! And an added plus is it’s FREE!!!

I snapped a few pictures

They gave them these sticks to play with during the stories and songs
