Paisley One Month Old

Today Paisley is one month old. Gosh time flies.


-wears size 1 diapers -wears some newborn sleepers and 0-3mo - eating 4ounces every 3hours - wakes up twice in the night (usually 2-2:30 & 5-6) -has her first cold. She's been congested since Saturday night through the night into Sunday. She seems to be doing better today. -still sleeps quite a bit, some days more than other days. One day she may sleep a lot then the next day she doesn't sleep as much. -she takes a pacifier during the day but not really during the night -Smiled at me for the first time last night -follows me with her eyes if I am walking in the room/moves her head to follow me -cries during bath most of the time

Paisley 4 Weeks

Yesterday Paisley was 4 weeks old. Time already passing us by. I can really tell she is getting bigger.

-wears size 1 diapers

Paisley and Preston

On Tuesday, we went to see our friends who just had a baby too. I had Paisley on the 30th and Brittany had Preston on the 31st. We were in the same hospital at the same time. We walked down to their room while we were there, but so many things going on I wasn't able to get pictures like I had planned. Thought it would be cool to have pictures of them in the hospital and us mommies and daddies too, what a great memory it makes. But, I guess taking a picture of them at 3weeks old is better than not getting one at all, ha.

I know Paisley looks so much bigger than him, she is over 2inches longer and I think weighs almost a pound more than him.

Paisley is passed out and Preston is wide awake :)

Granny and Paisley

My Granny came up on Thursday and so she got to meet Paisley for the first time. Just for one picture, but I want this in my blog book. :)

My granny is 90yo. I only hope to be half the Godly woman she is and still going at 90. Love you granny, hope you don't mind me sharing your age. :)

Paisley in Her Gown

I bought this outfit for Paisley, with the intentions of her wearing this home from the hospital or at least while in the hospital. But, it was so cold and she was so little I didn't put her in it. I just love this outfit and spent a lot so had to get a good picture of her in it.

She got fussy, I waited too long to start taking pictures. I posted one of her crying, I know its sad. Then, a picture of her a couple minutes later asleep in my arms.

Paisley 3 Weeks

Paisley turned 3 weeks old yesterday. I know I can't blog every week of her life. But, I would like to try to blog as much as possible. Here are pictures from the past week. In no particular order, some from my camera and some from my phone! The ones in the growth chair are from her 3 week old birthday. What is she up to? Still sleeping quite a bit. She eats every 2 and half to 3 hours. I have her pretty much on the same schedule and have for the past few days. I know it will change as she gets older, but it works for now. I feed her a "night time" bottle at about 8:50-9 p.m. and she was only lasting 3-4 hours but the past couple of nights she went 5 and 5 &1/2 so we are making some progress, I think? and then after the first feeding she wakes up at 3 hours on the dot... and then once more after those 3 hours. I have to say she is a pretty good baby. I really can't complain. Of course as a new mom you are short on sleep, but I can tell things are better than they were the first week when we brought her home. :) She is still wearing some newborn clothes but can fit a couple of 0-3 month size. But, some are still pretty big on her. She is wearing size 1 diapers. She is eating 3 ounces in each bottle. I feed 4ounces at the "night time" bottle.

Paisley Two Week WELL Visit

Yesterday we had Paisley’s two week WELL visit. She is a growing baby!

Her stats:

Height: 21 1/2 in  (95%tile)

Weight: 8lb 7 oz (95%tile)

HC: 36cm (75%tile

 

Before we left the house. Got her dressed up because it’s fun. Even though all we do is undress her as soon as we get in the room at the Dr. And this is probably more work, but it’s so cute!! And she is only this little for a short time. :)

They pricked her foot at this visit. She couldn’t get enough blood to come out on the first try in the left foot, so she then got a warmer and warmed her right foot and pricked her again. So it was DOUBLE pain for her. After she got the blood she needed and Paisley was still crying and the nurse has left the room, Payton had a break down. She was SO upset that Paisley was being “hurt”. So this prepared me for when I have to take them at the same time for shots, I will not be doing that alone. :)
