I have been searching for a way to make Payton an advent calendar for awhile now. I finally decided, oh- well maybe I will wait till next year. Until yesterday, after reading my sister’s post, I decided to go ahead and make us one for this year! I actually didn’t make it until today.
I used a punch to make the number labels.. or whatever you call it.
These are the ones I used.
I have a bunch of card stock and Christmas scrapbooking paper, so I just used those.
And then I hand wrote the numbers.
I went to Hobby Lobby with the intentions of buying the same ones Marla bought, but then I wondered over to the isle with all the gift bags and found these.
So, then I used sticky roll thing to put the numbers on the bag. Folded the bag over a little, then poked a whole, then added the ribbon.
I bought this ribbon awhile back
The ribbon that the clothes pins and bags are hanging on I got at Hobby Lobby. I thought it would kind of go with my paper that I used for the numbers.
Somebody was REALLY excited!!! Oh and that is blue marker all over her face.
Stuffed with all sorts of different things. I sort of have a problem, and buy lots of stuff while I am out and about.. well the “problem” I have sort of came in handy today. I used lots of things that I have already bought and not used yet. Things like lip gloss, nail polish, stickers, crafts, etc. I still need to get a few things to put in them. I plan to bake and do different things with her throughout the month. But, I didn’t know which days would be “good” to do those things, so I didn’t stuff them in her bags. But, she is excited and call them her gifts. She knows that every morning after she wakes up we can open a bag. Then, when they are all gone… Santa will come and it will be Jesus Birthday!!

You did such a good job. I don't have much crafty stuff but do keep telling myself I need to use some of the stuff around here that I already have. Been trying to do that this year with Christmas wrapping etc instead of buying more...
Ya'll are just so smart & talented though!
